Yes I know it has been awhile since I last updated this blog, been very busy!
Millie finishes kindy tomorrow for 2 weeks which will be nice to be able to let her have a break from early starts so we are at kindy on time, have been telling her about all the great things we will be doing but she seems to be more excited about being able to watch Clifford in the mornings again for 2 weeks than anything else!
Paige is well Paige, love her to bits but she is a RATBAG! She is into everything and her talking is coming along so well, she is very good at making herself understood and she bosses poor Millie around something terribly!
Well under 6 weeks to go until baby is due, it's starting to get exciting now although I must admit I am not looking forward to the whole labour thing but the end result is more than worth it so here's to lots of Pethidine and other painkillers!
We have got the baby's room all sorted, we did that a couple of weekends ago and the the girls are sharing a room which has worked out really well and they are great company for each other! Went to the Rocky Horror picture show last week, local music theatre company put it on and it was audience participation night so you had to call ouf things (which are a bit rude) to post here, lots of fun and very professional!
On a sad note, my friend Heather and her family are heading off to Blenheim tomorrow for a change of scenery and lifestyle to live, Heather and Martin, wishing you all the very best for a new life in Blenheim and we will be up at some stage to visit!

What a day...................

Jeepers today has gone sooooo fast - I elected that this weekend was the WEEKEND we were going to finally swap the house around as bubs is due in under 9 weeks now! Eeek! Anyway, we all slept in until about 8.00am, then Mum and I had to go through all the baby clothes, girls clothes etc and man was I ruthless, the girls have so many clothes, no wonder the girls at PPatch love me so much! Anyway then Aaron had to go and get a bed for Miss Paige as the cot was going in what will be the nursery, then lunch as I was starving by then, put Paige down for her last sleep in the cot ever and then off to ballet with Miss Millie which was a bit stressful as they have started their exam work practice - can you imagine a 4 year old having to take a ballet exam! Anyway back home for more tidying, sorting, throwing out, rearranging etc etc! Dinner, bath for girls and then bed - well that was the idea, Millie was her usual brilliant self in going to bed but well Paige didn't really get the whole once you are in bed you stay there concept! Mum, Aaron and I each took turns putting her back in and then at 10pm I got Toddler Taming out (fab book by the way) and we put the baby gate up in the doorway so now she can't get out! It worked!
Still 10.30pm is WAY too late for her to be going to bed!

10 weeks to go .................

That's right - 10 weeks today until baby Mckenzie is due! Am sore, tired and sick of being preggers really! Still hopefully bubs will be on time or early like Millie and Paige - knowing my luck I'll go over, which wouldn't be bad thing as July is BUSY with weddings, hen's do's (i can pretend my lemonade has Bombay Sapphire gin in it!) friends home from overseas - can't wait to see Trace, she is home for London, flying visit as usual being the jetsetter (just joking Trace) that she is but will be good to see her none the less!
The monsters are good - Paige is such a Scorpio! Tonight poor Millie was sitting on her chair, drinking Milo and Paige walks up to her and BASH!! over the head with a toy - SERIOUSLY that child is the devil sometimes!
Watched Greys Anatomy last night - it was GOOD!! Man I love that programme, and 2 whole hours of it last night!!! Shame the cute bomb guy got blown up!
Going to see Di and mac in Te Anau this weekend - it has been a while since we visited and not sure they will be sorry to see us leave once Paige has wrecked the place - apologies in advance Mac and Di!

Well better go and put Paige to bed - going to bed is an issue for her at the moment!

It's Friday.......

Yay it's Friday - means the weekend is here! Off to watch the Sting play the Auckland Diamonds in netball tomorrow at the Stadium - love watching them play, always get a bit carried away but being the competitive wee lass I am can't help myself, am thinking I might start playing again next year once bubs is here, was playing social last year and really enjoyed it!
Have been super busy with the business, people are finding me and giving wonderful feedback which is great - have become really inspired in the last week with some of the new products I have had arriving so may even post one or two layouts for you all to look at!
Millie is at morning kindy at the moment - swimming this afternoon, the child is a FISH! She is going to be such a brilliant wee swimmer! Paige is trying to talk flat out, she has some definite words such as uh oh (self explanatory that one)!, doctor, stuck (which she frequently gets), Nana, Mum, Dad and Mimi (which is Millie) amongst others!
She is wrecking her sisters room as we speak, I can hear dolls landing on the floor!

Okay okay ............

So i have had a few emails/ phone calls from a few of you saying when are you going to update your blog - well here it is! I admit, have been extremely slack but have been super busy with the business and the girls! For those of you that I haven't been in contact with for a while I have started up a website devoted to one of my passions - scrapbooking! Check it out www.scrapbookessentials.co.nz - it's only a few weeks old and growing fast - some days it seems like a fulltime job! I wanted to do something that keep my brain ticking over but allowed me to still be with my two wee girls and do stuff with them!
ANYWAY - the girls are great, Millie starts morning kindy on the 12 May, am going to have to get up so early to get here there for 8.30am each morning but it's only down the road so will just put Paige in the buggy and off we will go! Paige is growing fast - getting lots of words and sounds now, funny how when they start to talk it's only Mum's who can speak the same language fluently - Aaron quite often says what does she want!?!? Am enrolling her in swimming classes once Millie is at morning kindy - will be interesting to see if she is a fish like her sister!
My tummy is growing - admittedly I am no where as big as I was with Paige but am starting to get to that 'uncomfortable stage' and the toilet and I are like best buddies the amount of times I go! Did some shopping for bubs today - and I know you're all dying to ask what it is - but we're not telling, you'll have to wait until the 9 August!!!!
Had some great news last week - our friends Mark (aka Bungle) and Shanelle announced they are getting married in Te Anau on the 28 July - going to be a busy week as my gorgeous friend Trace will be home visiting from the UK, Mark & Shanelle are getting married - just hope I don't go into labour, although Shannelle did joke that we could always book into Lumsden Maternity as a precaution! Was 2 weeks early with Paige so will just have to think unlabour like thoughts and bubs will have to stay put until after the 28th!

Bugger................

It's Murphy's Law - literally - here we are a week out from U2 my dream concert and I have just heard that it has been postponed! Apparently an immediate family member of one of the guys is sick! Oh well I will just have to wait to see them and Aaron will just have to wait for a sleep in which I am convinced is the only reason he was going to be honest - that and a few beers with the lads!
Midwife visit today - baby is fine, very active so it took her a while to find it's heartbeat to check it! Anway am now 18weeks 1 day - must post a pic of my tummy!
